Lower - What passes for AI now, is not true AI because it requires human intervention to learn. True AI is centuries if not millennia away, currently it is nothing more than a glorified if/then routine that associates commonly used words until it sees a pattern. The human mind is an amazing thing, almost impossible to replicate. it’s a shame most use but a small portion of its capability. What it is good at are tasks like optical recognition, and receptive tasks with the occasional curveball because it never blinks, and a terminator is but a good battery away. Scared? You will be if we allow it.
