Lower Township - What is the annual budget for trash disposal at the landfill for Lower Township? The CMCMUA charges $71 per ton and has proposed an $1.42 increase for 2017 for municipal garbage. There is no charge to deliver single stream recycling to the CMCMUA. There is also an annual rebate from the state for every ton recycled. Doesn't it make economic sense to send less trash to the landfill? The 1.8 cent increase in municipal taxes for 2017 makes me want to scream almost as much as people who are oblivious to the waste they create and don't recycle!
