Lower Township - To the spouter saying teachers, firemen and police are looked down upon: These are the professions these people chose. They are well paid and their retirement plans are great for the amount of years they put in. I don't think they are looked down upon, it's just that, as taxpayers, we see what they make and what their benefits are and wonder how they ever put into a system as much as they receive in retirement, and to say they do jobs nobody else wants is absurd. I know people trying to get these jobs but don't have the Cape May County connections to get them.
