Lower Township - Regarding the comment about businesses with two sets of books-small business is the primary abuser! I have worked 50 years for large corporations and small businesses. Small business is the largest abuser of the tax codes by far. Family (who don't actually work) on the payroll and all the perks that go with-health care, vehicles, gas cards, and on and on. Corporations are monitored by a myriad of agencies and their stockholders-they don't get away with nearly as much. The IRS should concentrate on audits of these small business-both sets of their books!
