Lower Township - NJ taxpayers, you can work for government for as few as 10 years, have deducted over 10 years a total of $50,000 towards the pension fund, then retire and collect $250,000. Over the next 25 years in government pension, Gov. Christie has done his math and even the simple folk recognize this state cannot fund the unrealistic, high government pensions. The average Joe and Jane are working hard in their private jobs, with bare bones medical benefits that are unaffordable, and will work until 70 just to pay their gas/electric bill off their SS checks. Pensions need to be revamped in NJ government!
