Lower Township - NJ and the federal government need to stop funding beach replenishment. It costs taxpayers a fortune and only encourages people to live near the ocean. These barrier island residents who say they "won't leave" should be forced to fund their own beach replenishment and buy private sector flood insurance. No one is jealous of barrier island residents. You can get bigger homes with larger lots for less money on the mainland. Let's see how long the barrier island residents would last if NJ and feds cut off their beach replenishment funds!
