Lower Township - A new library in Stone Harbor and the opening of a new city hall in Sea Isle City are too more examples of tax dollars wasted. Sixteen municipalities in Cape May County with redundant services. Is there any wonder why taxes are chasing people out of NJ? 570 municipalities and over 600 school districts. Towns on the 5-mile and 7-mile islands with very small, year-round populations. Who benefits? Lawyers who occupy the various municipal boards, professional services and the controlling families. The elephant in the room that nobody seems to notice, except the folks who pay the taxes.
