Lower Township - Lower Township already operates a swimming pool in North Cape May. According to the Herald, it has recently been refurbished with a new filtration system, and even has a chairlift for wheelchairs to enter. Why, then, are Simonsen et al so adamant about spending (at the low end) $10.5 million on a new pool? Especially since, as Ridgway said, the existing pool would remain open, even after the new one is built. It’s not one pool we’d be paying for, it’s two.
