Despite marketing to the contrary, the average CUV won’t do well on the beach despite four wheel drive. I’ve seen people stuck on the side of the road down here because they pulled off into soft sand, then couldn’t get out. Wide tires and low air pressure with 4WD is the recipe for success in sand. Bring your own compressor since tires can be ruined trying to find one. I learned all this from an off-roading expert by I hate to admit it, getting stuck on the beach. Extraction emptied my wallet.
