Lower Township - After the latest murders of nine people in a church in Charleston, S.C., we have heard from the governor that the Confederate flag should be banned from public buildings. The presidential hopefuls in both parties have also voiced this sentiment. Gun control is also part of this issue, and many in the past. We now have hate crimes. Isn't every murder or attack on a person a "hate crime?" The fact is that evil people do evil things. We can't legislate with actions that politicians find expedient. History is full of examples of religions causing wars. Do we rid ourselves of religion?
