We as a society are failing our youth. We are raising a generation that is dependent on everyone but themselves. They go about our town with little respect for anything or anyone. As a child, I was raised to be respectful and work hard in order to achieve the goals I set in life. We need to stop this improper parenting, or lack thereof, for our children, as they expect everything will be given to them with little or no work on their behalf. Someone will not always be there to pick them up and do it for them. Someday, this generation will need to face the harsh, real world. Are they ready?
