Town council is to approve a $250,000 no bid contract with 25 percent matching funds for a coastal resiliency grant from Cox Hall Creek to the Canal. Council was just defeated in the argument that North Cape May and Town Bank was not impacted by Sandy and now they want grant funds to bolster the dunes in that area. The scope of work does not include the area north of Cox Hall Creek where Cape May Beach and Villas did suffer Sandy damage. Council, Villas and Cape May Beach should be your priority.
