The topic of beach access on the bay beaches was brought up at the Dec. 7 L.T. council meeting. What I can't understand, the mayor turns a well thought out plan into a political football. The mayor with his "sticky wicket" comment appears to say that there isn't public comment. Mayor Beck, do you remember that you cast the deciding vote to purchase the North Cape May beach 15 years ago at an unusual "special meeting." The records will prove that this purchase had much public opposition without a meeting. The beaches will and have been a taxpayers' nightmare without an end.
