The property tax bills are out, and as usual mine is up again. Twelve times in 12 years. Up $170 this time. In those 12 years, my Social Security went up a couple of bucks. My pension never goes up, but our politicians think we can just make money magically appear. This has to stop. Just once before I die, I wish they would surprise me and say "No tax increase this year." Do our politicians think about the impact these tax raises have on fixed incomes? Give us a break!
