The political heat on the L.T. beaches will come long before the warm weather comes in the coming months. Taxpayers want to know what does it cost to maintain these free beaches, and how these beaches have incurred a huge loss in wasted township tax dollars and quality of life along the bay. The math did not add up with the purchase by the assistance of the sitting mayor. This purchase was irresponsible, lacked foresight and vision, and is a contentious, and continual battleground among taxpayers in L.T. The former manager is gone, but his missteps will remain with us forever.
