My complaint is not with the Ferry, it's with their reneging on the promise of consistent transportation services across the bay. As far as congestion in the Chesapeake area, I'd look at the military presence in Norfolk, Hampton Roads, Portsmouth, the eastern terminus of I-64; and Virginia's largest seashore resort. On the eastern shore there are six new traffic lights, and more places to shop, eat, and buy groceries. Hasn't the Ferry done the same for the Capes too? How many accidents have happened at the end of the Parkway when hundreds cars try to go northbound?
