Lower Township tax assessor failed to properly perform her duties for three years resulting in significant delays in property assessments. As a result, many residents have now been hit with unexpectedly large tax bills, creating financial stress and frustration. Compounding the issue, it has been revealed that the town manager was aware of the situation but took no corrective action. Lack of response and accountability from town leadership has allowed this problem to occur.
