I would like to propose the following question: Since no one can verify where commenters come from come from, and location is now easy to spoof via VPN, how can we be sure they are not foreign nationals trying to upset our population? The only flaw in my theory is that most Chinese are smart people, and it is very rare that I see an intelligent response to a spout that offers constructive criticism, or moves the conversation forward in any way. Some do, but the vast majority don’t. Perhaps since the comments serve such little purpose, their removal might be a valid consideration.
