The county's open space preservation program needs to be eliminated or forced to just preserve land. The program has become a disgrace. No open space is being preserved anymore. What do bike paths, piers, field lighting, athletic fields, skate parks, etc., have to do with open space? Voters voted for the open space preservation fund. Freeholders should not be able to use the funds for other purposes.
