According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual wage for education, training and library occupations was $57,220 in May of 2021, higher than the median annual wage for all occupations of $45,760. For New Jersey, according to the Comparable Wage Index for Teachers, developed by the National Center for Education Statistics, the annual average salary for teachers in NJ is $77,489, the 7th highest in the nation. Good job NJEA. I'm not saying that they don't earn it. I just can't stand hearing them whine and cry about it.
