Let’s not forget that Crest Memorial has a budget of more than $12 million while serving fewer than 200 students. At the same time, there has been resistance to exploring shared services with other Island schools and making meaningful cuts.That means the taxpayers continue to carry the burden while the administration and school board president refuse to seriously address the spending. The money tree is not unlimited. Eventually, the taxpayers are going to run out of branches.
