LCMR’s award from the DOE is the school patting themselves on the back for press ,not actually helping disabled or Latino communities. Any student who is free lunch automatically gets signed up for it without permission from parents and often without the students even understanding. Could it be a good thing sure but is it ethical, absolutely not. It is administration showing “numbers” and not actually caring about what a student or family wants.
