I've read a few spouts discussing the dissatisfaction with local schools programs for autistic children and angry at not enough special ed. teachers/counselors. My special needs child went to Special Services. They are expert in dealing w/ special needs kids. Local district are not, but resist sending students to SS apparently because the $ follows them. Tech schools are supposed to specialize in trades, SS specializes in special needs kids. My advice to special needs parents is to fight to send your child to SS. They did a great job w/ my son.
