It is with some dismay that I read the recent spout upset with the Special Services school. When my special needs child was at LCMR (this was over 10 years ago) their “MO” was to stick him in “In Class Support” classes where no Sp. Ed teacher was present, only an aide w/ zero expertise, just a sub certificate. They loaded up the IEP with low expectations rather than teaching techniques to overcome obstacles. I found Sp. Services a MUCH better school. I hope it hasn’t gone down hill.
