It is July, and county government still lacks transparency. The $115,000 PIO and her assistant did not fulfil Desiderio and Lare’s promise to “make Cape May County’s public information and communications department the best in the state”. Nothing has improved; in fact, it’s worse. With fewer ribbon cuttings for her to cover, who knows what they’re doing. We do know that the department is nowhere near the best in the state, far from it. When will they acknowledge they made a costly mistake at taxpayers’ expense?
