It is clear that allowing land use decisions to the planning and zoning boards was a mistake. The planning and zoning boards will approve everything. They all stand to benefit financially from continued development while our taxes go up because of it. Planning boards are comprised of everyone that stands to make more money off of new houses being built. Planning boards are supposed to exist to preserve the quality of life of existing residents by preventing development, not allowing it. All land use decisions should be made by the State, not planning boards. CMC has grown too much!
