Is it any wonder stores in Rio Grande are closing? Trying to cross the Route 9 and Route 47 intersection is a nightmare. Not to mention the absolute mess that Route 9 is between Rita's and the Grande Center light. And the traffic on 47 because of that unnecessary bottleneck going from two lanes to one? It's impossible to make a left turn. I for one avoid Rio Grande like the plague, especially in the summer.
