In regard to the AV/SH Superintendent not announcing to parents that head lice exists in their schools. It is not the job of the educational district to evaluate your child for common child contagion. In addition to checking your child for head lice frequently (as advised by your School Nurse), please consider the other parental tasks: Ask your child to open their mouth and look for the dark spots signaling tooth decay. Take a look at their ear canals to see if they are in need for a cleansing.All itchy rashes need to be checked by your child's doctor as some of them could spread to you.
