In a touching display of municipal gratitude, WPD recently presented city officials w/ Exemplary Civilian Service Awards that appear to have come from the “Budget Crystal” aisle from the local dollar store. Nothing says thanks for protecting critical infrastructure like an award the size of a motel soap bar mounted on acrylic. In an era of giant plaques & oversized ceremonial props, WPD bravely went minimalist. And to think, it only took the two top cops w/ a combined salary of $485K + benefits to come up w/ this. Truly pocket-sized recognition but just the right size for a jail cell
