I'm sure glad I was willing to drive just a little bit further from Avalon than Court House when we decided the Island just wasn't what it used to be from the 70's to mid 2000's, the attitude change was not a friendly one, so we bought 3 acres and built a nice comfortable home, now I get many laughs when I read about the still declining problems with too many people, cars, golf carts, bikes and, yes, attitudes. Enjoy your stay and don't forget to return home when you've had enough ! I might consider returning if a hurricane wipes the slate clean, those with no insurance won't be back.
