I'm all about the concept of "live and let live," but what I witnessed over two days this Labor Day weekend was a bit too much. If someone has the ability to host a soccer tournament on their property, then they too should be able to handle all of the parking associated with it. When I called the NJSP, I was told there wasn't anything they could do. When I called my Deputy Mayor, I was told there wasn't anything they could do. So hundreds of people park along the side of the street and chaos ensued. Here's an interesting concept though, maybe our town create ordinances to regulate some of this. Not saying shut it down, but maybe just force a little more foresight into these events.
