IF the United States had a lolgical president and a real administration, it would tell AI corporations to slow down until guardrails have been put in place, AND negotiating with China (and other powers) to do the same. Datacenters have gotten lots of negative attention. The likelihood that AI will eliminate millions of jobs has less attention. The "higher than 10 percent" possibility that AI will wipe out the human species? Silence. Maybe we deserve it.
