I think the high school is walking a fine line with summer sports practicing. The practices are mandatory, coaches are there and kids are being punished for missing. How about follow the rules so less injuries occur and the kids can work? What about a 9 day “dead period” for athletes before the mandatory season starts like other NJ districts. Who is in charge of the athletes and why is there no one enforcing the rules to keep the kids safe and healthy and allow families time to vacation or work?
