I appreciate the Herald's continued reporting on the electric bill gouging. In the latest issue its stated that ACE wants an 8% increase in its distribution charge so as to "reflect updates and tech enhancements..." What a scam. We didn't ask for updates like the "smart meters." They only benefit ACE, yet WE have to incur extra charges? When exactly will ANYTHING come out of THEIR end? How about we can get the old meter returned AND not have to pay the $15/month fee for it? That way ACE doesn't need the 8% for "tech enhancements."
