I agree that we have gone to the dogs alright. People's priorities are totally askew chosing a vet for a pet over a dying family member. It is an extreme example, but very evident as you look around at the devotion in the eyes of the dog "owner" that it will happen again in a heart beat. The dogs "own" the "masters".
