Hats off to a Middle Township Police Officer that was forced to take action against someone clearly under mental distress and clearly prevented additional violence with action. It concerns me, perhaps unjustifiably, that police incidents like this are automatically routed to the state attorney general like many other blue states, and anti police pressure is at times brought to bear. I hope county officials will intervene if this happens and inform the public because police officers have enough going on without worrying about unfair judgement. Hours of routine, seconds of terror.
