The reason there is a trade imbalance is because we are a wealthy nation that overconsumes. We buy more than other nations can buy back from us. Probably a good problem to have. Coffee, bananas, avocados and vanilla will now cost the American consumer more due to Trump's tariffs because he thinks the poorer countries are ripping us off.
