Following the tragic political murder of Mr Kirk it may be time to evaluate the purpose of all public forums including the Spout Off. The hatred and polarization that is expressed here ,particularly in the comments section, serves no positive purpose,and in fact adds fuel to an already divisive atmosphere. Perhaps the Herald should terminate all “ National “ topics and return to a forum that focuses on ONLY LOCAL topics. We can still have an entertaining dialogue on dogs on the beach, memorial benches, and the management of our communities without fermenting anger and further division.
