I received a booster shot as the protection of my 10 year Tetnus shot has worn off. It also protects against whooping cough. These vaccines have proven a long term success for adults as well as children. The reason why this illness is almost eliminated is the compliance of people getting the shot. Measles ,along with other diseases are making a comeback because of no vacs!
