Every dollar from the Open Spaces fund should be spent only on actual open space preservation. Developers are eyeing every dry piece of land they can. Planning & zoning boards will do nothing to save open space. The County should partner with Green Acres to buy and preserve as much land as possible fast as possible! Too much of the County has been has been paved over and covered with new houses. The County really needs to up it's game when it comes to land preservation. The Open Spaces program is letting us down by not actually buying and preserving open space.
