Erma - Why were employees of Cape May County Social Services in Rio Grande ordered to report to work during the blizzard Jan. 4, when a State of Emergency had been declared? The roads were unplowed, and everyone was supposed to stay off the roads. Are we trying to encourage people to head out into a blizzard? This endangers the lives of both the employees and the public.

Moderator's Note:
During a State of Emergency, essential employees are to report to work on their regular schedule. New Jersey Office of Emergency Management defines "essential personnel" here: https://goo.gl/KnzWK6.
