Erma - Whose idea originally was it to tie red roses to Valentine's Day, when other things would make more sense? My particular choice to replace flowers as a symbol of romance has always been macaroons, not quite as pricey as roses, but pleasing to the senses. My significant other now dutifully annually supplies those delicious macaroons.
