What is happening to our society?

Erma - What is happening to our society? My daughter recently had her foot amputated. After several horrible months of getting through this, she was feeling good about getting out of the house the other day. She went without crutches and so had to walk slowly. A man old enough to be her grandfather came up to her and told her she looked ridiculous walking the way she was. Then he walked away imitating her limp. This is now acceptable behavior?
