Erma - I can't believe any sane person would leave a dog in their car while they ate lunch in the summer. I was coming into a restaurant when I saw the police and animal control at a car with a dog in it. What is wrong with people? Thank you Lower Township Police and Shore Animal Control for doing your job and finding the irresponsible owners of this poor dog. Fortunately, they found the owners in time. All business owners should post signs during the summer months to warn patrons of leaving pets in cars during the summer months. Don't walk away if you see pets in cars, call 911.
