Erma - To the Cape May spouter comparing gas prices between NJ and Delaware - You have missed one very important piece of information: NJ has mandated gas pumpers. Stations in NJ must pay for that labor, for the worker's comp insurance, etc. Delaware is a self-pump state; so, it has lower labor cost for fewer employees.

Moderator's Note:
Common sense says there's gotta be a cost for the pump labor. Some studies have attributed 5-7 cents/gal to pump labor costs; others show those costs to be negligible. It likely depends on where the cost is being measured - e.g., would taxpayers be paying unemployment if the pumper weren't pumping? For some background: http://goo.gl/ewsaly
