To the Cape May spouter who brought up Obama’s cash for clunkers program. I worked at a dealership then and no one traded in a car that wasn’t worth more than a hundred bucks. They got either 2 or 3 thousand bucks on a trade for their junker depending on the year. None of the cars would pass an inspection especially for pollutants. The clunkers were disabled at the dealership and later crushed. Besides giving a shot in the arm to sagging sales, the program significantly lowered air pollution.
