Rt. 47 rumble strips have created a big noise problem for the residents that live along the roadway. Who would think this would stop drivers from falling asleep? Remember, 90 percent of drivers drive with their right hand and when you fall asleep, you tend to turn right into a yard or woods. Passing on the double yellow lines seems to be the bigger problem and the grooves aren't helping. Cars traveling 55 mph or better, the sound the tires make hitting the grooves, is deafening. I guess all new paving is in order.
