Diamond Beach - Re: trash and recycling pickups on a holiday falling on a Monday, the "red-headed stepchildren" (Diamond Beach residents) feel the pain. Why can't recycling be picked up like normal? We can afford the overtime. Every other shore town seems to have no issue, while we're forced to save recycling after a big holiday weekend. Leaving the recycling can on the street for two weeks is not an option. The trash and recycling team has difficulty putting the cans neatly in front of the property, let alone requesting them to bring close to the house. Can there be some changes in this arbitrary policy?
