Dennisville - Regarding the free-roaming peacocks in Dennisville. Someone in the vicinity of the traffic light on Rt. 47 and Petersburg Rd. owns these birds. I called animal control and was told they were considered domestic, like chickens (seriously). I've had anywhere from one to nine birds on my railings, porch, arbor and house roof. These are not small birds, leaving small droppings everywhere. If this were dogs roaming around, they would be picked up and taken to a shelter. The owner should be considerate of the town's residents and drivers, and donate them to the zoo if they can't contain them.
