Dennisville - I have talked with several neighbors and the township administrator about the peacocks. It seems they were owned by a family who lived near Rt. 47 and Petersburg Rd. but moved several miles away. They took the peacocks with them but the birds did not like the move and returned. The people who live where they used to live do not own them and do not want them. Their former owners can't make the peacocks stay at their home. The peacocks are no longer domestic birds. They are wild and feral and need to be captured by animal control before becoming a major financial burden to the municipality.
